Shopping for Engagement Rings / Wedding bands

Every family needs a Good "Lawyer", the best "Doctor", and a fabulous "Jeweler"!!! If you do not have that trusted family or friends recommendation, you could be in for a harsh and expensive lesson. I have seen Diamonds sold to people, that were far from the value of what the people paid for them, That, is a horrible way to begin an Engagement with your Fiance, or to find out a gift you bought, was so overpriced, or really, really low quality for the money spent...I remember, prior to entering into the Jewelry business shopping and felling so scared that even though I was recommended to this Jeweler, I had no knowledge about diamonds and that I was probably going to over pay, but, as it turned out, I did well in that purchase, but, it was that feeling that I really hated...

This is a true story;

I have a great customer, Marriane Conte, from Conte Cadillac & Cheverolet in Freeport, NY, who had lost her "Jeweler" many years ago, and while shopping in Manhattan in my building The New York Jewelers Exchange Building, we are "Diamonds BY Janet" at 74 Bowery, between Canal & Hester Streets, she stopped at my booth after salivating over all my jewelry showcases, she said to me, and I quote; "I am shopping for a Jeweler, not just Jewelry, which I can see several pieces I would love to purchase, I need to be able to trust and have faith that, I will not overpay for my jewelry, and I will be able to ask a price, once, and I will know that the the jewelry was priced with the integrity I would expect, are you that person? I knew exactly what she was talking about from my own experience!

We have so many customers you are like family friends, we attend their parties, have dinner together, attend shows, concerts, etc...

A Family Jeweler, will know and remember all the pieces you bought in the past, what your husband or wife's taste is like. They will always exchange and or upgrade your Diamonds with the proper consideration and all will be happy...

I have a customer who came from England, an Actor, after working on a gorgeous Engagement ring for his now wife, he went home and sent me a two page letter, thanking me and stating how good he felt about meeting and working together on this purchase and that he would not consider shopping any place else, when his wedding was coming up, he returned to the U.S. and came and purchased the wedding bands, my daughter visited England and they treated her to a Broadway show. Relationships in business are important and can be a very enjoyable experience...It's not always about dollars and cents.
